How to lock employee after Basic pay change

Hi Gurus,

I have one scenario from my client, Please suggest solution.

Client want if any user will change basic pay of any employee, then this employee should be locked for payroll processing and at the same time mail should trigger to Finance head and only he should be having authority to unlock the employee.

Please treat this important and help.

Talk to an ABAP programmer so that upon saving IT0008, an e-mail would be sent to the Position "Finance Head", and IT0008 would be "Locked", and talk to your Security resource so that the ability to unlock an IT0008 would be restricted to a single Profile/Role.

You could also make whatever changes part of a HCM Processes and Forms process, so then the changes are not actually made until/when Finance approves them. Then you do not have to worry over locking an employee or not or any special security role (other than HCM P&F's).
