Downgrading SLD

Former Member

Hello all,

We have a SLD landscape which has been set to a strict level for CIM and CR content. Now one of the SLD's has a CR content level that is too high (SAP_CR 5.0 (produced 06/09/2009)).

Namespaces can be deleted if needed, is there any way of downgrading a CR content from SAP_CR 5.0 to SAP_CR 4.13.

I have tried to import an initial load again. This does not give the wanted results.

Best Regards,

Jeffrey

Hello all,

I have resolved this problem by deleting the namespace and importing an intial load again, followed up by the patching to the required level.

- An export content

- deleting the namespace

- initial load

- patching to 4.13

- Importing content (model independant)

This solved my problem, thanks for the suggestions.

Hi

Presumably this SLD gets CIM only from manual download not other SLDs - sometimes restoring back-ups or CIM content

can cause problems with future synchronization imports from other SLDs

There are full backup options in SLD itself - if available you could clear the namespace and apply the last SLD backup taken before the CIM upgrade but you would lose any changes since that SLD backup. A database restore might be more effective in getting all changes - assuming these objects are stored in the DB for a J2EE

Also FYI before clearing namepsace take a backup anyway just in case

Best wishes

Hi Jeffrey,

The only option i see here is restoring a database backup taken before upgarde to 5.0. This can be only done if its a test system.

Cheers....,
