Where does MDM store the map?

After PI provides the schema MDM maps the field (both for import map as well as syndication map). Then when we click on the save button in MDM it is being saved. I am curious about after clicking on save button what happens to these maps (syndication especially). Where does the maps save actually.

Hello!

The maps are saved inside the repository (therefore using the DB to store them) - not in the filesystem.
If needed you can export them in XML format.

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for the answer.

However can you please show us any light if there is any way we can access the maps from MDM side (like from console)? We need to delete a corrupted map. So it's essential to know how to access those.

Hi Debarun,

In the initial description you mentioned some PI related scenario. This means that you have configured import/syndication ports in MDM Console, so that the MDM and the PI can communicate with each other. If you check the port configuration, then you will be able to find out which maps are involved in this case.

It is also worth to run verify/check process in MDM Console to check the repository. The output might help to find errors.

Hi Debarun,

The mapping can be accessed for editing from the MDM Syndicator client. Please try to delete it from there.

Please find more information here: MDM Syndicator Reference Guide (PDF link) >> section 1.2.4 Deleting Maps.

Hi Victor,

Thanks for reaching out.

The issue is not how to delete the map. The main issue is how to find the corrupted map.

Any idea?
