Not to save data if a field is blank

Hi, Experts:

I am setting up a custom table to be able to enter and save data in the table using SM30. For one field ZBELNUM, which is not a key field of the table, I would like to add protection to make sure it has value entered. So if a data record is entered with this field as blank, and when users try to save it, the system should not save it. It should show a error saying "ZBELNUM can not be blank" instead.

How should I do it?

Thanks,

Jenny
