LSMW _ Fix Assets

FA Experts,

I have 2 issues

#1- I created a LSMW project to change the Depreication Key to all assets. In the LSMW I mapped following fields

ANLN1 - main Asset #,

ANLN2- Asset Sub-Number

BKURS - Company Code

AFAS2_01 - Depreciation Key

LSMW is working fine it updates the fields however it is changing the description field TXT50 of each asset to the same name even though that field is not mapped anywahere. The name that is using a name from a different asset.

Does anyone knows what I did wrong, I have used LSMW before I have never seen this.

#2 - In order to change this I will have to create another LSMW and change the description TXT50 back to its original name, luckily the original name is found in the Asset Main Number Text ANLHTXT the problme is I can't find a report that gives me this field listed, if you know of a report please let me know.

Hi,

If you are using 'recording' type of LSMW, check that in the recording procedure you don't have this field set to some default.

Eli, it appears that is my problem, these fields come up in my recording even though I don't need them. How do I get rid of them.

Go to your recording (via LSMW Menu - Goto - Recordings) and set default value to blank.

I think the damage has been done our user ran the LSMW, in our Q environment, is there a way I can extract a list of assets and the original name prior to the change? Something like a history of changes? I will extract some of our assets from our Development environment but it may not be all of the values I need.

Hi,

The changes are logged in CDHDR and CDPOS tables.
