Sol Man managed system setup - user roles required

Hi

When setting up managed systems from Solution Manager (7.0 EhP 1), what are the minimum roles the user in the managed system needs? In our production systems, there is a reluctance to assign SAP_ALL to the user. Is this avoidable? To start with, we are just setting up the basic configuration and the monitoring and alerting functionality.

Thanks

James

Hi James,

Solution Manager is pretty huge and without specifying for which functionality you are looking for roles its difficult to tell directly

So by the mean time refer the guide below

https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000075728&_OBJECT=01100035870000718787...

It covers roles req within solman and satellite system as well

In addition if you want to customize go ahead by copying it to a zrole and do the needful via PFCG

Hope it solve ur prob

Regards

James,

In Solution Manager EHP1 SPS20. SAP has defined all of the roles in the EHP1 Security Guide. The security roles or should I say 'Work Center' roles will be defined in this guide based on the functionality you are using in SOLMAN.
