Dear Friends,
Could you please suggest an efficient way to handle the production orders against a sales order having many items to be produced?
Hi,
I will assume you have set up all BOMs for those FG (or FP as in your context) in SO. If that is true, the simplest way would be by DTW. You just need to upload those production orders by two files no matter how many FG you have in SO.
Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Narottam............
You can create one production at a time. So there will be n no. of production order for your items in sales order. But for tracking purpose in every production order you have to attach the same sales order.

Dear Giri,
Please consider the case as below -
Sales Order with the following items -
Finished Product 1
Finished Product 2
Finished Product 3
Lets assume we produce all the above mentioned Finished Product, and there is no stock of these items.
Now we have to create Production Order(s) by tagging the above mentioned Sales Order. But, we have to create 3 production orders. Is it a efficient way, when the mentioned product list will increase in a single sales order?
Hi
Is the three Finished products are having sub Items, which has to be produced?
Then u have to create different BOM for all Finished items and u have to create 3 prod. order which has one SO no.
or
Just make a one BOM which includes the all child product and call that in Production order.
Now u can release partially child items for finished product 1, then FP2 and FP3 from Issue for production.
Select the issue for production in that select the production order it will show the list of components which is in Prod. order select which item u have to relese for the 1st Stage prodcution , u can send all the items at the same time also but if ur prodcution process is three stage then issue for production make it multiple times also create some UDFs and maintain the field like First stage is completed, 2nd stage is in WIP like that...for that respective Prod.order. u can generte customised query report so u can easily track that for this prod. order how many stage r WIP or comppleted..
