Exchange Rate Updation

Dear Experts,

we maintain the exchange rates by using OB08. and we are putting the current exchange rate in PO and clicking on the fix button. The Differance between the Exchange rate in PO and the one Maintained in OB08 is posted in exchange rate differance account. But if the exchange rate is changing regularly, then more & more amount gets posted to amount is exchange rate differance account. so hw should i update the exchange rates???? asOB08 is an IMG setting and cannot give the authorisations to the user................

Please suggest if there are some special settings for that...................

HI,

There is no special setting in SAP, we have to maintain OB08 based on the business requirement, normally in business we will upload the exchange rate datas on daily basis through BDC program. while uploading this BDC data for exchange rate user will consider the exchange rate diff account.

please go thru your business process and upload the exchange rate accordingly.

Generally a BDC will be develope for OB08 updatation and which will run as a Schedule Job.. regularly..

may be daily, weekly, Fortnightly & monthly etc.. depending upon the business requirements..
