Hi All,
I have a BW query that has required and optional filters, and have an OLAP universe that has been built off it. Two of the required filters do not have any list of values coming back from the query (Month & Year).
I am trying to create at least a static list of values for these required filters in the universe, but the option to edit the list of values on the object is greyed out in designer (I can tick the 'Associate List of Values' check box on or off, but I cannot edit the list).
I wouldn't even care about not having a list of values for the filter if I could at least edit/type in my own value when running a webi report that uses the filter. But I can't. Even though in the universe, the object has 'Allow users to edit this list of values' ticked on, I am unable to type in my own value - so I am stuck with no list of values & no ability to type in my own value.
Any ideas on if I am able to create a list of values in the universe, or if I'm doing something wrong?

Hi Melissa,
did you check if there are any error messages during the creation of the Universe or when using it ?
the list of values should retrieve the values automatically.
