Windows Vista Home Premium - SAP GUI 7.10

HI experts,

I read that the Vista Home Premium is not supported by SAP GUI 7.10. Is correct? Only support Bussiness and Professional edition.

What can we do? We have to upgrade to Windows 7.0 and spend more money????

Unfortunately it appears your source of information is correct.

Depending your source, if you need verification or proof from SAP, please look at Note 6697.

There is much more info in that note but a quick part of Vista Home states:

"The "Home" editions and Vista "Starter" are not supported by SAP GUI - please use either one of the "Business" or "Ultimate" editions of Vista "

Windows 7 is not supported on SAP GUI 7.10 but will be upon release of SAP GUI 7.20 which is slated to be released next year around March or April.. See Note 147519

I do not have much experience with Vista but if it is anything like XP Pro vs XP Home, many parts were left out of the Home version such as networking components which are more buiness oriented which typically would not be used in a "Home enviroment". And of course at a reduced price from Microsoft.
