Hi ,

I have a small doubt..

When we are defining movable holidays in Public Holiday Calender... say Dasara. for example..

there is not perfect date when does it fall in next year...

then how to define the date for the dasara public holiday when we are define it for the year 2010 2011 like that..

can we give a a guess and later can we alter or wat?

Hi

You don't have to guess. Basically you should get the Holiday Calendar from your business coounterpart according to whatever information is available.

Many of the holidays will be known in advance for 2-3 years, but some that depend on lunar calendar etc may change every year, and also may not be known till the actual date. Many of the releigious holidays are known at the start of the year itself.

In such cases, if a preset Holiday date changes you will have to make the change once it is known and regenerate all the workschedules.

Please note that this will impact absences already entered and you will have to take into account this impact, make allowances for it.There are standard programs to reevaulate absences as well.

Ideally this can be an annual exercise to review the Holiday Caendar, and make changes when necessary.

hi,

did your holiday is a movable holiday r fixed day holiday.

if your holiday is a movable holiday you have to set in public holiday calender and change the radio button to is a movable holiday and set.

r if you r giving that holiday as a fixed day holiday you have to set in fixed day from day.

if u cant get till just send me the exact issue you got
