Document Numbering

Hai 2 All,

In Business one, Document number is only Numeric, Is it possible to change it as a Alphanumeric. we have a requirement that my client wants sales order document number is like "SO 1" like wise he is asking for Other documents.

This can be done as VBELN is CHAR10 data type,

Ask u r Functional consultant to change the Number Range of the sales order.

you need to know the numebr range object thats used for sales orders and use Tr. SNRO

ex: Tr. SNRO >

object > BU_PARTNER > pick the number range transaction BUCF

/n BUCF > chagne the parametrs as per your requirement

Sales and disttib > sales > sales doc > define number ranges for sales documents... should help you.
