Hi Experts,

While using tcode CL24N & assigning equipment to a class system is throughing an error that you are not authorized for equipment No XYZ.

Please tell me whether i have to take the authorization for this t-code or some other setting we have to do in the customizaation

Hi Amit,

there is a field authorisation group in the Equipment master. Chk whether that authorisation group is mentioned and you are part of it.

I checked the authorization and it is there for mylogin still not allowing me to assign the equipments.

Hi experts,

After running SU53 Codes

Under Authorization Field TCD Transaction Code CL24N is listed down it means i have authorisation for this T-code.

But while assigning the equipment to class it is throughing message you have not authorization for equipment no. xyz.

Please suggest me

Hi AR,

Having the CL24N listed down in Authorization Field TCD Transaction Code is not enough

What do you have in "Authorization field BEGRP Technical object authorization group", is it blank? It should be something with * like AR* if your authorization group is AR10, AR20, AR30.

Alternatively, can you try to do

1. IE02

2. Specify the Equipment number

3. Click "Class Overview" button

4. Add the Class that you want to add into the Equipment

Hi Amit,

Check the authorization for the plant where equipment is located.

Or ask security guy for the trace.
