How to triggering approval stratagies in material master after changed any field.

I dont want to change material master before aproval. After changing was approvad, material must change.

Hi,

The problem with most of the logistic master data (Vendor, Customer, Material) is that there is no time related data.

Therefore, when you change the master data, the change is applied, so you can not solve this with user exit .

As soon as you change the material, the material master in the transaction table is changed. Whatever exit create this issue can not be solved.

Hi,

My understanding of your request is, how can I change a material master, trigger the approval and only when it has been approved get the change applied on the material master.

Well, there is not a lot of way to achieve that :

- Use SAP MDG : the best way but MDG is not licence free

- Use the dual control framework : You have to build it yourself (I have never used it - but this is the 'old' MDG free for licencing but a lot more effort needs to be applied)

- Do it on your own without any framework. (you then have to build the screen logic and approve the request for modification rather than the material itself) there is no such object in standard so you need to build it.
