more than one source inspection for one PO

Dear Gurus,

Is it possible to do multiple source inspection lot for one purchase order?

My client ordering large quantity and receiving it partly, and for all this partial qty, they want to do source inspection.

So please guide

Thanks for prompt reply.

But in my case I don't know the received quantity from vendor.

It can be 5 MT or it can be 6 MT, as this is coming in tanker, and as tankers are having different capacities.

So from begning i am not able to create line item in PO.

Please guide.

You maintain Schedule Lines in the PO for the quantities you want to do Source Inspection. Create Inspection Lots for all the Schedule Lines through Background Job. Once you know the actual quantity for the Source Inspection you can change the Inspection Lot Quantity through QAC1 and QAC3 T-Codes.

as you ware that For one lot you can not have mutliple source inspection so there is onlt one option.

Make the Qty which you want to do source inspection as a Line item in PO.

This will give you liberty of producing Lot of that much Qty which you want.

Hii,

S iti is possible. While creating P.O u need to enter P.O qty in multiple line items, so Inspection lot cretaed for each line items. This is 1 scenario.

2 senario. For the same line items , for ex u creating 10 MT of Coal. In delivery schedule of Item details screen, u have to split 10 MT into say for 5,3,2 Mt. After P.O save, u will get Source inspection line item for each delivery item. It means u will get 3 Inspection lot for same material.
