We have an app using the Crystal .NET from VS 2003.

Crystal Reports prints in Vista, but client upgraded to Windows 7 recently and gets an error when trying to print. I have obtained the following infro from the event log:

Log Name: Application Source: Crystal Reports Date: 10/30/2009 1:12:32 AM Event ID: 10029 Task Category: None Level: Warning Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Kircher Description: Either the Keycode library is not registered with COM, or it cannot be loaded. COM object with CLSID (D97C7D7D-FF5B-4802-BE3F-D8748E986F7B) is either not valid or not registered Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event" <System <Provider Name="Crystal Reports" / <EventID Qualifiers="0"10029</EventID <Level3</Level <Task0</Task <Keywords0x80000000000000</Keywords <TimeCreated SystemTime="2009-10-30T05:12:32.000000000Z" / <EventRecordID67121</EventRecordID <ChannelApplication</Channel <ComputerKircher</Computer <Security / </System <EventData <DataEither the Keycode library is not registered with COM, or it cannot be loaded. COM object with CLSID (D97C7D7D-FF5B-4802-BE3F-D8748E986F7B) is either not valid or not registered. </Data </EventData </Event

Have tried an uninstall/reinstall on his machine; does not work.

At my office, I have installed our application in a virtual Machine that has Windows 7 and that DOES work.

Any thoughts?

What version of Crystal Reports? Only some versions support WIN 7. See [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=56787567] wiki for details.

We are using CR 9.1 (VS .NET 2003) which, according to the wiki link, is not supported.

That is correct. You will have to upgrade to a version of CR that supports the OS.
