Dear all while doing settkement in project system (T code CJ88) i am getting error mess

_G/L account 39700200 cannot be created as a cost element

please sugest me how to solve this problem

There are primary cost elements and secondary cost elements. With respect to primary cost elements, there is always a corresponding G/L account number with the same number.

Secondary cost elements will not have a corresponding G/L account.

I think you are trying to Create G/L account for the secondary cost element.

Dear Babu,

Probably this(39700200) might be a balance sheet account, check this in FS00 what account is this?If it is B/L sheet account then you cannot create a primary or secondary cost element for it.You can only create cost element with statistical cost element category 90.Such cost elements are normally used for Inventory stock accounts and Asset balance sheet accounts.

Dear sir this is not a balance sheet item nor secondary cost element its a ravenue account with cost element catagory 11

actually the system should not pick this cost element we have checked all documents for this project no where we have assigned this cost element

please guide from where the system is picking this cost element

while doing transaction CJ88
