Hi,

Is the url a domain name for the ftp server? If yes you may use File adapter. You may try to ftp the server from you laptop 1st, goto run > cmd then type ftp <url>

Hi,

Try using default port 21. FTP server should have port in order to communicate.

Hi,

Please open the FTP port (the one which your FTP service is listenning) of your FTP server for the client-machine IP. Ask them to telnet your FTP server on that particular port...
