We are having many short dumps related to the above and we have corrected the times between the DB server and the application servers but they keep drifting apart. the environment is windows server 2003 and the Database is MS SQL 2000. how can this error be corrected? most of the SAP Notes that we have read are not assisting.

Hi,

I have seen this kind of dumps after DST. Check the timezone maintain in SAP & at OS level. Both should be same. if the is

any mismatch due to DST try to fix that.

Use the tool sapttz to check that the technical characteristics of the time zones in your SAP system

See if below sap notes can help you.

Note 102088 - Reducing downtime when changing from summer to winter time.

Note 139669 - Time synchronisation in NT Domain Time Server Net Time

Thanks,

Sushil

Keep drifting apart ? Are you not using NTP to keep your time in sync ? You should be syncing your servers to a NTP server, usually your domain controller. You can use 'net time' to do this.
