OVP/ALP navigation to specific Variant

Hello everyone,

We are developing applications using Fiori Elements, most precisely Analytical and Overview Pages. We are currently replicating old reports into ALPs by setting the default filter, chart and table configuration to match the customer's requirements. However, there are quite a few reports to replicate so I'm wondering what is best in terms of configuration:

1- We could simply create one ALP for each report and deploy them to the Fiori Launchpad. Each one would have a different Intent Navigation configuration, so it would be easy to navigate to any specific app;

2-Because all the reports make use of the same data set (they consume the same odata and xsodata services), maybe it would make sense to use a single ALP but use different Variants (as they can hold filter/chart/table configuration). However I couldn't find a standard way to navigate from an app (List/Object page or OVP) to a specific ALP variant. Additionally, managing different Variants is not simple task during an app's life cycle.

Any thoughts on that?
