ABAP Proof of concept for HANA

Hello,

Iam SD functional Consultant. Our ABAP team has been provided training on HANA (Not Fiori and no Hana modeling). Now ABAP team is asking me to give them some work which they can do in HANA sandbox which they can show to management.

what kind of development work I can suggest to technical team. I want to suggest two things

1) Development of some Z report in HANA. so what area can I suggest so that it will involve some hana coding ?

2) Some non z development like some user exit changes etc. So which area can i suggest them ?

Additional to the suggested, why not make use of the hana itself and show the possibilities they get.

Hi Sachin,

Well, you can start off with some report which involves processing of a huge amount of data. For example, you can go with a simple report of sales made in last 10 years or Sales Orders posted in last 10 years or so, with provision of showing it on YoY, QoQ and MoM basis. You can also add total invoicing that was done against those sales orders in last 10 years and ask the developer to show them in various reporting formats, like charts, graphs etc.

This report may have provision to show the sales specific to a material, sales area or a customer and so on.
