OPJJ vs OPJK

What is the difference between these two configurations?

OPJJ

PP checking rule

In/Outward movements

Incl. production orders -> Take all production orders into account

and

OPJK

Material Availability

Component Check Type -> ATP check

How do these two configurations affect production orders and ATP?

What would I choose if I wanted production orders to NOT affect ATP?

All help is appreciated!

Cameron ,

Your question " How do these two configurations affect production orders and ATP? "

In OPJJ, you can configure what elements should be taken into account in PP check rule for component availability check in production order . Also you can define what elements should be taken into account in Check Rule A (for Sale order ATP ) or Check Rule AE ( Made to order Sale order ATP ) and so on....

In OPJK, allows you to define for each production order type the PRT check, Capacity check or component check.

So for example :

In OPJJ, you configure for PP check rule as under : Include safety stock, include production orders, storage location check or not etc....

Next in OPJK, for your order type ZP01:

1. you may use check rule PP for componet check,

2. enable or disable PRT check

3. Enable or disable Capcity check

Hope that gives you the required insight.

Next your question " What would I choose if I wanted production orders to NOT affect ATP? " Here I assume you are talking of Sale order ATP. So go to OPJJ, select check Rule A & disable production order check by selecting "Do not take production orders into account "

I guess this makes the concept clear. Else please come back with questions. Good Luck

Cameron,

OPJK:-> Orderr Control at business transaction level for production order.

During business transaction say order create / order release : PRT.,capacity and compeonent availability what needs to eb chefcked is configured.

OPJJ: Availaibility check contorl: Defines scope of check, which stocks needs to be included in availability check/ should it be storage location specific , should replinishment lead time to be considered.. ect contorls are defined.

both these transactions works together in rpoduct6ion order.

HI,

As has beeing explained by the other Forum members,

OPJJ---defines the Scope of the Check for a checking rule and checking group combination, in a Production order it is applicable to the components productions if any.

if we check take all Production orders in to account. the system assumes the compoenents as avialable, even if they are not in stock but the a production order is present and is expected to be finished by the required date. even if the Production order is not Released.

OPJK-- defines the checking rule to be taken in to account for avaialbility check, at different transactions like Ordre Creation or REL. as Checking group is taken from Material master. Checking rule is required to arrive at the scope of the check,

Keep the include Production order chcek box unchecked in OPJJ. if you want production orders to NOT affect ATP
