Low Performance when opening attachments in va23 documents

Dear Forum,

I have a very strange issue, I hope that some one can help out.

We recently upgraded from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and the error is the following:

1° When you run VA23 and display a Quote/Document

2° then click on the services for object icon

3° then click on Attachment list icon and

4° then double click on any of the Attachments that are available there,

issue: The attachments are taking like 10 minutes to be displayed

I have searched for notes with no success... any ideas.. thoughts..?

Thank you,

PR

Can you check the index that is being used on table SRRELROLES. Possibly try to run a trace (ST05) and validate if the right index is being used.

Also check OSS Note 566765 - Deletion: Reducing read accesses to SRRELROLES

Please check that index is being used or not , in case you dod not find any solution , searcn sap notes related to your issue on SAP marketplace.

If SAP is fine, you should have a look at your network ( how long does it take to upload the document, ping time).

To my mind this issue might not be SAP related, but morefrom and architectural point of view.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your answers. This issue is rather old but it was not solved yet at this customer.

One particular aspect is that this "delay" affects only the EMEA enployees while the Americas employees dont have any delay in their response time, so I also think it might not be related to SAP but to the network. On the other hand, this issue started right after an upgrade from 4.0b to ECC 6.0 so that also lets me thinking this might be SAP related.

Best regards,

Pablo

Hi Pablo,

i would suggest to compare the STAD records for a slow and a fast execution in order to find which time component makes up the biggest differences. (RFC, CPU, Database time, ...).

After that you can continue the analysis with the appropriate tool.

Kind regards,

Hermann
