NW2004s Dual Stack - LDAP Authentication

Hello,

we have installed a SAP NetWeaver 2004s System with JAVA and ABAP Stack. The UME DataSource is set to ABAP.

We want to use our LDAP (Active Directory of Microsoft) for the User Authentication in JAVA and ABAP.

Could you help me to do this?

I already had looked up the Tranaction "ldap" and configured there our server and a connection. But i think this is the wrong way. All we want is the authentication...

i hope someone can help me!

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Sven Walter

    LO,

You can use LDAP for authentification on Java if you connect Java UME to your LDAP.

The same functionality is not available for an ABap system but you can synchronize your users with an ldap with the ldap connector with is available on any recent Abap Stack.

    Regards, Gilles.
