Hi,
Is it possible to install a pop-up window, which is displayed on a Uptade when a user works in SAP BI Launchpad or Web Intelligence? As info or as warning?

regards

as Denis said, it is not a good practice to have users using the product while it is being updated.

Before you start the update, you can notify all users who are already logged in to log out of the system.

To do this with BI, create a "User Notification Events" from the CMC with the message you want, then "Mange Subscribers" and add selected/all users/groups, and the user becomes a notification on the screen and he can read the message. he also has it in the inbox

Hallo Danis Hallo Ayman,

Many thanks for the answers

This is not just about SAP BO updates, ruther system updates, such as operating system, and so on.
And it is already clear that the users will be notified in advance via email. In general, all updates are done in the evening or weekend, but we still want to notify such users who may be are logged in.

many thanks and regards

Hi Mile,

See my answer, it will do what you want, create the "User Notification Event" in CMC.

If I understand correctly, you want to warn uses who are working in BI launchpad or in webi that an Update is being performed - is that correct ?

If so - no that is not possible out of the box. It is also not a good practice to have users using the product while it is being updated.
You should warn users via regular notification your company is using that a product will not be available during specific times due to maintenance, then prevent any user from accessing it while updates are installed.
