Hi.
I have done the realignment for few material codes few months back and evrything went good, but later we noticed the forecast generated is getting distorted as UOM for the old materials and new material are diffrent.
Can anybody please tell me what could be the best solution to overcome this problem? Is their any way that we can reverse the realignment process and separate the old and new material codes?
Waiting to hear from any one of you soon.
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
You can follow the steps
1) Identify the location products where errors are found (or realignment done)
2) Take back up of existing data and update infocube
3) Then goto /sapapo/rlgcopy transaction and remove the realignment which
was carried out for products with wrong UoM
4) Then delete the forecast available and generated for those products
5) For the products, delete the forecast and dependent demand in SNP as
well
6) Carry out UoM correction and redo forecasting and SNP steps

Hi Rahul
I have provided explanation for points 2 and 3 as required by you.
2) Data back up will be done in BW cube under transaction RSA1.
This is required to back up your data in case if something goes
wrong you can always take back your old data during changes
in realignment
3) In RLGCOPY transaction, you enter your Planning object
structure and click on realignment radio button and then click
on maintain entries
This will display the location products for which realignments are
executed. Delete those realignments and then save it.
Hope this is clear now. Please confirm

Thanks Senthil for your reply..but it will be really helpful if you please explain your 2nd and 3rd points. As i went to the same transaction and didnt find any records for reallignment for the concerned PA.
Waiting for your sincere reply.
Thanks and Regards
Rahul

hi Rahul,
Do you have a process to make a Backup of the data in the Planning area into infocubes?
If yes restore the data before you did the realignment.
If not it is good to create such data backup.
There is no way to restore your previous sittuation before realignment took place.
There is one option to ask your admin team when they created a backup of the APO data base.
They can restore it but this will influence all other areas inside APO that;s way I can not recommend you this option,
