Hi All,
A typical problem faced while reporting completion. The RM instock is showing 100 and comitted is showing 100. So the system is not allowing to report the completion of the FG. How do i handle this?
Thanks in advance,
Joseph
Hi Guys,
I unchecked the negative inventory and after that i was able to add the document. I even checked the warehouse and the item did not go in negative. Was this a bug??
Thanks,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
You usullay receive this kind of error of you have circular BOM . Try to see if you have any open PO related to this .
May be this is causing the error .
Hope this helps

Hi Gordon,
while reporting completion, the error message was, "the stock of the item cannot be negative", the only problem is that this particular item has instock and committment as per the planned quantity in the production order. Should i allow negative inventory in this case and check it again once we add this production order??
Thanks,
Joseph
Hi,
Have you done receipt from the production?
You may aware of Committed stock is can be a sales side or in Production side. As you case it is in the production process and both are in the same warehouse. And the issue method is Black flush so, you donu2019t need to post issue for the production. I am not sure how it has happened. From your thread I can presume committed stock is -100 and your stock is 100. So materially the stock can be zero. Typically when you issue the RM it should get reduce from the stock. So, when you are doing report completion it will not allow completing the document, because it is negative value. Negative inventory management should affect inventory valuation while it is in negative stock (moving average method).
