Reduction in planned orders

Hello Gurus,

In OPU5 we have the following parameters in Reduction:

1. Reduction type: 'All operations in the order will be reduced'

2. Maximum reduction level: 'Do not reduce beyond reduction level 4'

3. % reduction in floats: 25, 50, 75, 100

In routing I have only overlapping time maintained, no queue time, no waiting time.

Now my question is, if the scheduled dates are within the basic dates, should reduction take place? As far as I know, the reduction of lead time takes place only when the scheduled start date is earlier than the basic start date and scheduled finish date is after the basic finish date.

Hi,

Yes you are right if the scheduled dates are within the basic dates then Reduction will not take place.

As per SAP If the basic dates specified cannot be respected, the system takes reduction measures.
