Re-arranging customer fields on UI in SRM 7.0

Hello,

We are implementing SRM7.0 with many customer fields on the header and item level. After we have set up the customer fields to be shown on the UI, we realized that the header fields are all lumped together under the "Rfx Parameters" sub-tab. Some are under the "Dates" area on the left, and the rest are under "Event Parameters" on the right. There is not even a title to indicate that these are customer fileds. I wonder if there is a way to group or re-arrange the customer fields better via enhancement. If so, which WD component should I be looking at for the enhancement?

In web dynpro component u can choose the layout according as you want.

Please try right click -> More Field Help on the WebDynpro UI. It shows WebDynpro name. It is like F1 help.

Hello Masa,

Thanks for the hint. I found the WD component and planned to enhance that to at least give the customer field group a title. However, I have a slight doubt on the representation of the customer fields on UI. It seems like in RFQ header data WD component: "/SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_RFQ_H_BD", the header customer fields were split into two different "InvisibleElement", namely INVISIBLE_CP_2 and INVISIBLE_CP_3, on the LEFT_CONTAINER and RIGHT_CONTAINER respectively. I find the design rather un-userfriendly and odd. Is it the design for customer fields for all document types, e.g. PO, CTR?

Hello Masa,

Where are the item level customer fields supposed to be shown? I set them up exactly like the header level customer fields (with structure enhancement and metadata control). But I can't find them on the UI. I looked under item detail "Item Data" tab, but they are not there. The data itself is saved in BBP_PDISC though as I checked in bbp_pd.
