Request Initial Range for SSCC-96

When using OER for Central Number range of Serial numbers, we would have an option in AII (Number Range Administration) to request initial range of serial numbers for each number range object. But I am not able to see the button "Request Initial Range" for SSCC-96 where as I am able to see this option for GTIN.

Can someone please suggest me if there are any settings that control this button on Number Range Administration transaction

Hi,

Kindly delete all existing number ranges for the SSCC in SAP AII using transaction /n/ain/sscc.

Now, execute transaction /n/ain/nradmin which will direct you to a web page login(web service) and there select SSCC. Hopefully you should be seeing the Request Initial number button.

Hello Bhargava Satish Kumar Vangapally & fellow readers,

This happens because, for the number range object SSCC-96 you have already created number ranges in the AII instance. So the AII system acts as a standalone system & the "Request Initial Range" button is hidden .

While for number range object GTIN, you have not created any number ranges in the AII instance yet.Hence it acts as a central number range administrative system & hence the "Request Initial Range" button is visible.
