assigning Controlling area to company code after a posting has been made in 0L

Hi team,

We are trying to assign a controlling area to a company code (OX19) in an S4 system, however there has been a posting to the 0L ledger. The system responds with the message "Postings already exist for company code US27 in ledger 0L" and "Data was not saved"

Is there a work around so an existing company code can be added to a Controlling area? Again, this is in an S4 system.

Hi,

You can delete/reset all the posted data through Tcode: OBR1 if it is testing system.

And then assign company code to Controlling.

I'm afraid this won't be possible. SAP has a service for this - SLO (System Landscape Organization) - where you can ask for assistance in this task for a productive system. i don't think there is substantial difference if you are working in ECC* or S/4; it is still not possible without reconstructing the relevant data.

If you are in test environment, you can delete your data in the company code in question and proceed. If you are in productive system, better to contact SAP/SLO.
