Hello SAP Gurus,

I have defined a FIFO batch determination for the production orders.

When I crate the production order and I go to the components, SAP can find the correct batch with quantity but, when I release the production order SAP can't find the batch with the correct quantity and the component has quantity 9 999 999 UN in strategy!!!

SAP selects empty batches?!?!?!

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance,

Adelmo

Hi

First you have to define charecterstics as Date of manufacture in CT04 give the Data type as DATE and value as<=31.12.9999

Assign this characterstic to class and material.

In the material master tick shelf life fields so during orders GRN it wiss ask Date of manufacture.

Please try and come back.

Hello again,

In my production order I need material A.

My stock is like this:

Material A

batch------Quantity

00010-----0

00011-----11

00012----- 20

When I do batch determination on order release foe a date in the future, the system gets me the batch 00010, with quantity 0.

If I go the the order and do manual batch determination, the system gives me 00011.

I want the system to select batch number 00011, because the quantity is > 0!!!

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance,

Dear,

You carry out a batch determination for a component from the production order or process order in which not the entire requirements of the component can be/are assigned to existing batches. It is because batch split records are not generated (SPLKZ = '. You need to define the batch split in COB1 or MBC1 No. of batch splits as 99. Save condition record and then check it.

You can define your own default quantity rules in the activities for maintaining the strategy types in batch management Customizing. (Batch Determination and Batch Check -> Strategy Types).

Also note The batches to be sorted must be classified while the characteristic of the batch number does have to be contained in the batch class.

Also note you can often improve performance by archiving zero stock segments. Use the MM_SPSTOCK archiving object for this. You can also use the VB_BD_SELECTION Business Add-In (BAdI) from Note 585576 to preselect batches. With this BAdI, you can make a customer-specific selection of the batch storage location segments.
