Dear experts,
my MaxDB 7.6 DBM Gui reports "Data Area Full. To extend the data area add a data volume. (Instance->Configuration->Volumes)".
When I try this via pull down menu Actions, "New Volume" is grey and cannot be used.
The database cannot be set online via DBM Gui. Here I get the error -24798 Data area is full [db_online -f]
The Windows Service SAPDB: <SID> cannot be started an remains in status "Starting".
Database Parameter MAXDATAVOLUMES is set to 11, and we have 2 vlumes so far.
I would be very pleased if there was anybody to give me some help with this.
Regards
Heinz
You can set the database to admin mode and add a volume. Then set it to online mode.

Hello,
as I have found, it has simply been a issue with the DBMGui (why - I still don't know).
Manually the database could be extended via dbmcli without any problems:
dbmcli on CSP>db_addvolume DATA D:\sapdb\CSP\sapdata\DISKD0003 F 128000
OK
Anyway Thanks for your help, sorry for having bothered you.
Regards
Heinz
