Page break scroll bar problem

Former Member

Hi all,

I have allready read most posts on this problem but none of them can fix my problem. I keep getting scroll bars in text fields that are overflowing to the next page.

I have created a form (print form) and have made all the settings as they should:

- Allow page breaks...

- Allow Multiple Lines...

- Expand to Fit...

Additionally I have also changed the From properties from Interactive form to Print Form in Tcode SFP.

None of this has fixed the problem.

FYI: The form is running on a portal in a BSP so the info should all come from the backend.

Any tips?

for sap 8.1 is released, there exist two notes:

1176858 for installation and 1356871 for the patch (livecycle Designer 8.1)

Apparently this is a problem inherent to Livecycle designer 8.0. I have tested outside SAP with Livecycle designer 8.2 and this gives good results.

Does anyone know if there is a version of Livecycle designer 8.2 that can work with SAP (Tcode SFP) and which version of the ADS we need for this?

hi, i would update my reader first to the newest version.

does the size of the textfield never change, independant how much text is in it?

perhaps check your subforms, if they are type "position" size does not change in my opinion, except your parent subforms expand to fit....

or use "flowed" subforms...and regard the parent subforms too!

All subforms are flowed. I think the problem has something to do with the fact that the form is opened as an interactive form instead of a print form. But I have allready saved the form as a printform and this did not help.

I don't think your textfield will expand in a Print form. You need to have an interactive form for the textfield to expand.
