Hi Experts,
I have configured SSO between EP and BI ,both are on SP17. When i try to test SSO by changing the URL in Consumer portal(FPN) , it automatiocally goes to producer portal without asking for user id and password.This happens in the same page without logging out and the url changes to producer.
But when i logout and change the url to producer staying in the consumer, it gives the login page.
Can anyone tell whether my sso is appropriate or not?
Is there any other way to test SSO?
Regards,
Adity

Hi,
I have configured SSO between EP and BI ,both are on SP17. When i try to test SSO by changing the URL in Consumer portal(FPN)
Consumer Url is in the form https://<hostname1.pnb.com>:port and producer Url is https://<hostname1.pnb.com>:port.
Consumer is EP and Producer is BI portal.EP and Bi integration has been done.Users logs on to EP to view Bi reports.
EP --> Consumer
BI --> Producer
When i try to test SSO by changing the URL in Consumer portal(FPN) , it automatiocally goes to producer portal without asking for user id and password
you have configured SSO from EP to BI
Where EP is SSO ticket issuer & BI is Accepter
But when i logout and change the url to producer staying in the consumer, it gives the login page.
For above issue try to configure SSO from BI to EP
Where BI will be issuer and EP will be accepter

I am bit confused.
you said Consumer is EP and Producer is BI portal.
Consumer Url is in the form https://<hostname1.pnb.com>:port and producer Url is https://<hostname1.pnb.com>:port.
Consumer is EP and Producer is BI portal.EP and Bi integration has been done.Users logs on to EP to view Bi reports.
Then how come you are using same URL for Consumer and producer as they both resides on diffrent instance.
Consumer URL :- https://<hostname1.pnb.com>:port
Producer URL :- https://<hostname1.pnb.com>:port
Thanks

Hi,

Yes , these Url is of Portal.
Yes we have used Url iview for calling producer from consumer URL .
Does the behaviour which i have mentioned above shows the correct configuration of SSO??

Hello,
One option is you can create a BI system in the Portal and after you can check SSO going to System Administraton -> Support -> Support Desk -> SAP Application -> Test and Configuration Tools (SAP Transaction) and start any Transaction.
If SSO is configuared fine you should open transaction without any login and password.
Hope this help.
Thank you.
