Transport Request

Hi SAP Gurus,

At the outset I apologize as my problem is related to BASIS. I tried to find out the solution from the previous post but I did not fimd any solution.

I am in IDES system. Prevoiusly, when I used to do any configuration in IDES and tried to save the same the new Transport request would have been appeared.

Now, when I have done some configurations in IMG it never asked any Transport request. I went to SE09 and there I did not find any request pertaining to my configuration.

Please guide me how I can trace my configuration in this scenario and even if I create my own Transport request (There is a Tab in SE09 from where I can create a New Transport request), I am not able to see my Transport Number through which I can see my Request number.

Select your client in which you are doing configuration & choose details,

here, check whether "Automatic recording of changes" selected or not?

if the radio button @ Changes w/o automatic recording, then TR will not generated for any of your configuration.

Hi,

This can happen due to 2 reasons.

1 - Sometimes if you didn't go out of that configuration screen and come back again to same, it won't ask for a new transport request, where as change goes under previous TR number.

If that's the case, start again from SPRO and check again.

2- Check whether Basis has turned off the TR Request function in IDES system. If they have done, they system won't give any TR number.

To check that go to transaction SCC4 & go in to your client.

Check under "Changes and Transports for CIient-Specific Objects" section.

If "Automatic recording of changes" selected, you should get a TR number for configurations.

If "Changes without automatic recording" checked, then you will not get any TR number.

If "No changes allowed", then you can't fdo any configuration. Eg: Production client.
