Hi Gurus,
What is meant by DELIMIT, what is the process for delimi? And I got a query like....
Delimit the HBM Allowance on info type 0014 effective December 31st and the create a wage type on info type 0008 called Additional Car Allowance effective January 01, 2010? This wage needs to be fully taxable. No permissibility to employees Salary Grade 33 and below.
Kind Regards

Hi
Delimit means to end the validity of a record - this can be done in PA30 - depending on time constraint a new
record with new validity period may be needed
If you delimit that record may not longer be valid for use - it will be stored in delimitation history
Best wishes
Stuart

Vicky,
Delimiting is confining or ending a Wage type on a specific date. The wage type may not be availabe after that. You can Delimit the HBM Allowance on info type 0014 effective December 31st in table V_512W_T thru SM30. Select the wage type from the table and select the delimit button on the top, now give December 31st and save.
To create a wage type in Infotyep 0008 follow the below path,
Personnel Management - Personnel Administration - Payroll data - Basic Pay- wage type - here create a wage type Additional Car Allowance with the start date as January 01, 2010 and do all the steps mentioned there.
Hope it helps.

Wellings,
hope you doing good...!
I followed the steps which you mentioned above, the HBM Allowance is delimited to 31st December. Now I went to IT0008 select copy Wagetype, there i went to HBM allowance, in that column i gave my new wage type number and name, i did test run, It displayed as error free, and i saved.
but the system didn't ask me for date intervals, it automatically took HBM Allowance Delimited date intervals, Now i need to change both the start and end dates, please help me?
Which table should i thru to change the start and end dates.
regards
vicky
