Hi All,

I ma working on SAP netweaver 7.1 with SQL 2008

As my admin user is locked so trying to activate emergency user SAP* from ume user activation.

My problem is when I goto sap.superuser under sap.com.security and double click to enter value "TRUE" nothing happens.

It seems like this option is greyed out. Although I can change all other value but not "superuser"

I tried loggin both with windows admin and SID<ADM> but no hope.

Does any one have any idea why its greyd out ???

Regards

Here is the answer for 7.1 (and 7.3)

Start the config tool.

Choose Switch to configuration editor mode.

On the Display Configuration tab page. Choose:

cluster_config

system

custom_global

cfg

services

com.sap.security.core.ume.service (note that this is not in bold characters)

Propertysheet properties .

Choose  Switch between view and edit mode.

A warning appears to make sure the server and dispatcher nodes are shut down (Make sure they are).

Choose Yes.

Choose  Edit the details of the selected node.

Double click and edit the ume.superadmin.activated and ume.superadmin.password parameters.

Choose the Apply custom pushbutton.

Choose the OK pushbutton.

Restart the AS Java.

Thanks Nick - for the SAP* settings in configuration editor mode.

Really helped.

A PI uses ABAP as user store for the UME.

I'd use the "classical" approach:

- delete SAP* on database level in the client you want to log on

- set the profile parameter "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0"

- restart the instance

- logon to ABAP with SAP*

Hi Markus,

Its purely single stack JAVA server, there is no ABAP stack.

click once on ume.superadmin.activated

next, look at bottom of config tool, you should see a white box.

type TRUE

Click on SET at top right.

now, restart your JAVA instance completely with SAPMMC.

I cant type anything in tht "white box" (not accepting any thing)

and below "SET" button is greyed out.

Although I can cgange all other values

Dont understand wht to do ??

the white box should contain *******

then, put your cursor at the end of ****** and press BACKSPACE button until you get your cursor before the first character. These ***** will not delete. Now, type your password even if it remains as *******.

the SET button should highlight.

Hi,

That box is simply blank and even if I click in white box "SET" button is not getting highlighted.

Although on the same machine I had activated SAP* user one month back but this time I dnt knw wht went wrong.

Its behaving like this right after applying license

Hi there, I have the same problem with Netweaver 7.1 - the button and fields on top are all greyed out.

As opposed to NW 7.0 - where the input fields are at the bottom.

How did you resolve the issue ?

Would you care to put the solution down.

Thanks.
