Dear Experts,
I face a problem to connect from client laptop to sap server. They give us this error message:
Connection failed:
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server Error: -1
[Microsoft] [SQL Server Native Client 10.0] SQL Server Network Interfaces: Error Locating Server/Instance Specified [xFFFFFFFF].
What is the problem?
Note. We use SQL 2008 and SAP B1 2007B
Thanks and Regards,
Lailus

Hi
Did you check your client/server connection manager and make sure that tcpIP
is enabled on the sql server and that port 1433 is allowed through any kind
of firewall?
You can find these settings under program files-->sql server on your the
computer running sql server.
or ck this link
[http://blogs.msdn.com/sql_protocols/archive/2007/05/13/sql-network-interfaces-error-26-error-locating-server-instance-specified.aspx]
Thanks
Kevin
