IAM Roles in AWS

I was looking at your wiki specifically around the question of IAM Roles and whether they can be used with the Cloud Appliance Library.

What you describe there appears to be using an IAM User to authenticate.

I would like to know if it is possible to Authenticate solely using a IAM Role instead of an IAM User.

We use this method with a number of our other Cloud Service Providers. For example Cloud Health.

If this is not possible, would you mind updating your documentation to reflect this?
