Hi,
we are upgrading to ERP6.
When creating a BOM (tcode CS01), we get error message 29110.
We have to tick 'Recursive Allowed' to pass the message, and then tick
off.
This looks like a bug.
Please advise solution.
Thanks,
Thomas
Dear,
Please refer the OSS Note 839879 - Trace 'BOM is recursive'

dear thomas,
If header material it self considered as component in bom then the above error message will be triggered.

Thanks all.
It's SAP standard as per 4.5.
I thought we don't need to tick the Recursive Allowed in ERP6.

Hi all,
thank you for all your answers.
I have reviewed note 839879.
It describes steps to take to enable the analysis for the recurrsive error, this functionality is available in ECC6.
We don't use the component as the same material as the header.
We use co-product.
We ticked 'Recursive Allowed' in 4.5.
I heard that we don't need to tick this in ERP6, that's why we try to un-tick.
Have any of you experience this issue?
Many thanks,
Thomas
Dear Thomas,
1) if header material again used as a component with smaller qty, then system will ask to
tick 'Recursive Allowed'
2) Mostly this kind of BOM's are used in PP-PI ( chemical & Pharmaceutical industries)
3) so Just check the header material & components
4) if everything is fine then Plz Go with Mr. Brahmankar suggestion

HI
Plz check whether header material is used in sub BOM also .
This is standard msg which is for recursive BOM, i think you are using the same header material in the BOM component also
check and revert
