Spool stapling

Hi,

How to enable automatic stapling function for the documents printed through spool.

We receive PDF file attachments from 3rd party system to SAP through PI as string.

This is then converted to binary content and printed in a dedicated printer using the following functions

RSPO_SR_OPEN,

RSPO_SR_TABLE_WRITE_BINARY

RSPO_SR_CLOSE.

Along with basis , tried to enable stapling functions through device type print options from SPAD.But its not working as expected.

Please note ,we are not printing the document using smart/adobe forms, scripts.

Checked for existing thread, but couldnt conclude.

Please provide your expert advice.

Whether this is managed through PCL commands or within SAP printer settings.

Thanks

Keerthi

you need to be more exact. What kind of device type are you using?

It is important to have the function available at the device type. That need to be checked and validated via transaction SPAD. The PCL-Command need to be in there. This can be tested by the basis-guys.

IF this works you need to put into your stream the call of the command. Not the PCL-Command direct.

Worked for me everytime I needed it.

    Hello,
I'm having problems with generating the pdf to the spool.
Using functions RSPO_SR_OPEN/RSPO_SR_TABLE_WRITE_BINARY/RSPO_SR_CLOSE to create the spool works fine but it's not printed as PDF. I can only see "%PDF-1.4#%âãÏÓ#10 0 obj#<</Type/XObject/Subtype/Image/Width 48/H" in the spool.
Did you do other steps to achieve this ?
Seems that you have to create a pdf dedicated printer, any idea's on how to do that.

    Regards
