A custom PDI solution is created to update the Service ticket technician field to match the item level technician in cases of service ticket rescheduling (MRS). The logic is implemented to modify the ticket's technician, when the logic is executed an error appears indicating that the user couldn't update the employee. What might cause this behavior , given that this user is an Administrator and is assigned to the work center , I have also tried to use a different user but still got the same error.

Have you checked on Repository Explorer if this field is PSM Enabled with Write Access?
