In LT02 - Capacity checking not carried out.

Hi gurus,

By transaction LT02 we are clearing the inventory by transfer Order. To increase differences we use mov. typ 712 and to decrease differences we use 711. Now My question is in case of Posting with 712 , the system is not checking the Capacity utilization of the Bin as we are able to increase it more than its capacity.

My question is how to perform capacity check in LT02 with movement type 712 ?

Hi,

Please check the capacity check at sprolewmStrategies--strategy for storage type ---for capacity check.

This indicator determines the capacity check that will be carried out for the storage bins in this storage type

Use

If the load capacity of a storage bin is limited, you must make sure that the material weight or quantity of a putaway does not exceed this limit (or is other than the palletization data defined for SUT 1 in the material master record). You need to set this indicator, therefore, for storage types where this can happen. If this danger does not exist (for example, in the goods receipt area), you should not set the indicator.

Actually we have already check the capacity utilization in SPRO. This is working good for another movement type and storage type.But when we post the document with movement type 712 and 711 then only it behave something differently. In this case it takes material more than its capacity. Just try it out with transaction LT02 and movement type 712 or 711.
