Gurus,
I have more than 350 queries on my old BW 3.5 system. I am planning to do some "system cleanup".
Is there a good way to identify what query has been obsoleted and can be deleted?
How should we delete the query?
Kindly advise, thanks.
Hi lynn,
You should have activated the BW Statistics standard content!
When you install these Business Content datasources, InfoProviders, ... and you select your InfoCubes to be monitored, a reporting will be available on your system concerning your query usage!
This wil give you a good overview about the queries that are used, on what frequency by which user...
If you still have time you should set it up now, wait a little while, investigate your result and see which queries can be deleted.
Best Regards

Thanks, so basically we can just delete the query directly in Production. We dont transport this from Dev to QA then Production, correct?
Regarding the "obsolete report", is there any good transaction/report that can tell us what query has not been used for the past 3 months etc? Or what query is not active? Total number of query we have in the system?
Kindly advise, thanks.
