COPA plan upload - Product cost components valuation

Hi,

When CO-PA plan data is uploaded (using KE13N), relevant product cost component details are not getting derived/valuated in CO-PA plan document. Whereas, if I do a manual simulation of valuation either using KEPM (planning framework) or using KE21S (Valuation simulation), the values are getting derived and relevant value fields are getting populated with cost component details.

Even I've automatic valuation check set to active in parameter set definition.

Is this the way system behaves?

I expected that product component details get derived automatically when I post a plan document. Is there anything I might be missing in terms configuration or....? If I've to run valuation method separately to valuate with product cost components that creates another document for valuation, which I don't want.
