dev_tp file growing fast and neet to reset the file, file located in work

Hello Everyone,

I have some space issue in my Development sap system and found that dev_tp file growing very fast. Please let me know how can I reset the file to clear some space in my system.

SAP release: ECC5.0

OS:- HP-Unix

I knew to reset the wp trace files but not sure how we can reset the file 'dev_tp' file in sap. Please advise me if there is any procedure for this.

You can purge the file to set its content to zero.

See [Note 520351 - Deleting dev_tp regularly in the working directory|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/520351]. You could just copy it to .old and compress in the mean time and do a 'cat /dev/null > dev_tp' if you can't implement the script changes immediately.
