Hi All,

Currently we have a requirment where we need to send data from SAP to Oracle.

For this requirment we do not want to use SAP XI.

can we use ESB as a middleware to send the data from SAP to non-sap applications ??

Please let me know if my assumptions are correct ??

Thanks,

vijay.

Hi Vijay,

Which ESB Middleware are you using here?

Almost all supports integration with SAP. Check its documentation. Also rfer the link

Hi suraj,

your points were really helpful.

I understand that ESB is not a product but an architecture to be followed based on message oriented middleware(MOM).

can u suggest a product to send data to oracle from SAP based on ESB concept where delivery of messages is guarenteed.

Thanks,

vijay

Hi,

Most of all middlewares follow ESB architecture only,if decided not t use SAP PI,then you can go for TIBCO or WebMethods...

those two middlewares also supports same features,But SAP PI is advisable to use while you connecting SAP Systems with Other Systems.

TIBCO ,WebMethods both procides some stadards adapters to coonect SAP ,ORACLE Systems too..Coice is Yours...

Hi Vijaya,

The recommended one will be to either go for SAP PI or Oracel fusion (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/esb/pdf/esb-foundation-for-soa-presentation.pdf)
