Still no support for SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 15 ?

Hi,

Does anyone have any information or indication when SAP will start to support SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 15 ?

I know it has only been released for around 2 - 3 months but SLES 11 was already supported since GM and 15 has been in beta since January already.

I'm asking because I need to start planning our upgrades from SLES 11 to 15 and we obviously do not want to go to 12 when 15 is available(5 years vs 10+ years support). Also, SLES 11 support ends 31 March 2019 so I really need this information as soon as possible.

I'm marking this thread as answered so it can be closed. SAP eventually released support for SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 for Netweaver 7.5, ERP 6 and other products - see the Product Availability Matrix (PAM) for further information.

Yes, Now SAP is not giving us proper information/roadmap regarding SLES 15.

I Hope we'll get it EOY to deploy new application on SLES 15.

I did contact SAP for information and they gave me the following unhelpful reply:

I find this very frustrating because SAP generally give some indication when a product will be supported in the way of roadmaps, spreadsheets containing support package stacks or expected release dates for enhancements etc. The operating system is just as important if not more so and not having this information is a great disservice to customers.

For HANA, SLES 15 (GA) support has already been started. You can check below matrix for the same.

But for SAP Application there is no specific notes which tells that SLES 15 is supported for SAP Application as well. Below is the master note for SAP Software on Linux which is not yet updated for SLES 15. If you raise a message to SAP and confirm on SLES 15 availability for SAP Applications so you can start the planning of your upgrade at the earliest.
