Hello,

If we are to install SAP Jam for our internal use do we need to be on HANA? Also is there a direct integration with KPro/content server for storing the documents uploaded in Jam. If not where is the document getting stored?

thanks

Hi Ananth,

SAP Jam is a cloud solution operated by SAP. So you don't need to worry about the database being used, nor do you have to bring your own on-premise database.

In general you can upload any content to SAP Jam directly and it stores the uploaded content within the application itself. It's also possible to surface content from existing document management systems into Jam. There are pre-built integrations for a few solutions, including SharePoint. In addition Jam integrates with SAP Document Center. Through Document Center you can then also bring in content that sits in SAP backend systems, such as an SAP KM system.

For details on that integration check out this blog by Jens Koster: https://blogs.sap.com/2016/03/09/sap-jam-and-sap-mobile-documents/

Best, Christian
